Cold Cold Cold!!!

My happy butt is staying inside....and taking pictures while Mom and Thad and Jenna all head out into the cold ND snow. They made one go around and came home! TOO COLD! I'm so glad for my little vacation, spending time with my family and appreciating a change in scenery. My skin is a little shocked from the drastic change in temperature....AZ held a comfortable and steady 50-65 degrees the past week...and now I'm sitting in 20below. Even Thad's eyelashes froze!!!

We're having fun though...Wishing I could see my brothers and the girls this holiday, but I'll click my heels and return to Kansas someday. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas!! You're in my thoughts and prayers, and I miss you and love you all!!!

-Jube

(Jenna's a bit cold too)

The Mighty Hunter........Successful!!

Hello family, finally I return successful after 2 weeks of hunting, second to the last day I got this 4 by 4, he came over the top of the terrace in the corn field right at sunset. Dropped like a rock, then I had a heck of a time finding him because it got dark, but the reflection from his eyes in the dark helped us find him. The mighty hunter will make deer jerky and send you some. Everything else is well here in Mahaska, just got our first snow and now we are getting an ice storm. Enjoy the pics.

Step UP Kids!!

We so appreciate all the letters and ideas and pictures you all send over the Blog. It 's fun to see how all of you are doing and growing. I thought Joshua looked very much like his employer. Josh were you trying to be Darlene's look alike or what?? It was great fun and as always made us laugh. We are glad Jen is doing well with her designs, it's great to see what you have created. Jubers looking good in Scottsdale, new friends and new challenges. Always good to talk with Jere on the phone, it's a treat we love. He fills us in on all his jobs and life in the hard-working lane. We are looking forward to Christmas, the weather here is wonderful. Our grass is still green and really have not got my Winter coat out yet.

Today is a good day to remember the words of the apostle Paul "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness" (I Tim. 2:1-3)

Our new President will surely need our prayers because he and his administration face a huge challenge, challenges that neither he nor any government on earth will have the power to overcome without the help of our Lord.

I am concerned for our children, don't forget where you came from. It is not time to go into the bunkers. No time to moan over our retirement funds and plans. This is a time to repent, to pray more, to give more. It's time for Christians to lead, encourage, and minister to a faltering country in a faltering economy. Step UP kids. This is your GENERATION. Love MOM

website!

Hey! Good to see everybody's halloween costume! I'll get mine up here sometime. I was a Newsie for halloween... (from the musical, Newsies)... I've been really busy lately with homework and everything... I'm working all day today trying to get everything done. Thad's taking me to his cousin's wedding in Oklahoma next weekend. Exciting! I finished a design for a website me and my partner, Anja created. It's a just a basic idea, so I diddnt design every page. Try and open it up in Safari, instead of firefox, or else it will probably look funky. You can go to cheese search, home, and suppliers... and then there are only so many things you can click from there. Roll your cursor over the links on the first page.. (the background changes!) Anyway, love you all. Can't wait to see you mom and dad and bue for Christmas! And Angela and Josh, i'm gonna try and make it to your house for Thanksgiving break! Miss you all! :)

Paige Family II

All is well here in Mahaska. Fall and the cold weather is here to stay. We are busy with work, struggling like everyone else in the country. Our two beautiful girls keep us busy enough for us not to worry, they are the light in our lives. We miss everyone and wish you could share more time with us, especially watching the girls grow. We had a wonderful time in Disneyworld, Annika is in dance class learning jazz, ballet, and tap and loving every minute of it. She has a big recital in March. Kenzie is tougher than tough, she has gotten a lot of bumps and bruises from falling, but she just keeps going. She likes to head butt and pinch her big sister which is a no no. Annika still loves her. Angie and I are doing well, just working and trying to keep up with the girls. We have no plans for the holidays, just staying around Mahaska for now. Glad to know everyone is doing well. Love you all. Here are some pictures. More to come. Oh, we also got the girls a new puppy, his name is Joe Joe The Tank, he is a Havenese, very very cute. Kenzie is holding him in one of these pics.

Update

Hello family! Mom, your post was wonderful! I miss you very much, but know that where ever I am, your prayers and love still warm my heart every day. I'm so excited for the election and encouraging everyone I know to go to poles this November 4th. Regardless of their vote, I agree, that especially the younger generation need to voice their choice for this country. So important now more than ever during our economy's decline. So thanks Mom and Jenna for your posts. Great words.

I'm working hard at the office and at the haunt.
I'm working at a hostess in front of the Wrath, and interactive theatre haunted house in Mesa, AZ. I was hired on as a makeup artist and actress. You can see some of the makeup I designed in the picture. Lots of latex to create cuts, gashes, boils and deformities! Yuck! I was on the channel 15 news this morning at 5:30 and 6:30 for a brief interview about the haunt. We've had over 7000 people come and enjoy the spooks and we only expect more. I'm suprised that even in our current situation we still see a mass of people spending money on entertainment. However, the Romans in history, during hard economic times, always saw more patrons enjoying the arts and theatre. They believed entertainment and the arts provided an escape from the worries of every day. That's what I love about the arts. Regardless, people want to be entertained.

Grand Canyon Films is moving forward with two documentaries and another film. I'm excited to share that I proposed my own idea for a documentary and my bosses are behind me completely as producers of the film. Depending on where we are, I could start shooting as early as next March! More on that later.

And....I'm dating! I'm currently dating a fireman/medic who is training to be medic on SWAT....hunky! At least I'm excited about it :)

I miss you all so very much and wish I could see you more. Crissy works so much, I hardly see her and I get kind of lonely down here all by myself. The temp has changed from the 100s to as low as 70* and I find myself in sweaters. I can't believe I'm such a sissy!

Love you all soo soo much!

To all Our Children: We miss you and love you lots!!! We have had such a beautiful Autumn here in Mohall and North, North Dakota. My flowers have not yet froze, even though the temps have dropped into the 20's. We have been working alot, and watching those among us travel to New Mexico and Arizonia for the winter. We miss the people that do the exiting, it shrinks our town of friends and family and business and income. We have had many discussions around the table about the trauma that has come to our country. We pray that we have encouraged you all to be responsible and vote, even though you might be angry with the system. We so appreciated Jen's little ad video about voting. I know you will all make decisions based on COMMON SENSE.

A couple of months ago we were all so overwhelmed with the Olympic Games. The athlete fervently running, torch in hand, held high over head, followed by thousands of the most skilled athletes in the world. Exciting, wasn't it??We watched with millions to see the athletes' performances. To us here at home we watched each evening and were intrigued by these incredile humans. We were drawn with passion to see our America Flag and our anthemn played to receive Medals. For those men and women ( and me too)they were consumed with PASSION. Let that PASSION be contagious to you as you make your mark in the most important election in this decade. I will not tell you how to vote, but vote you must. "Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the ONe who is leading." (Oswald Chambers) Thanks! Love MOM

Walkin' The Red Carpet....sort of :)

Jake's Corner opened in theaters in Arizona this Friday. I had a great week. Wednesday I went to the town of Jake's Corner. I little place in the middle of nowhere, but surrounded by mountains. We screened the movie for the town and everyone who involved on an outside screen, and I have never seen so many people so excited to see a movie. I was a great experience. People applauded and hollered and yelled in excitement under a perfect star-filled sky. BJ Thomas and the Hay Boys played afterward and the whole town lit up with celebration. Very Cool!

To the left is a picture of my boss and the writer/director/producer of the film, Jeff Santo. Jasmine is on the right (Jazz) and her and I work in the office together. Fun fun fun friend I found Jazz. She's a sweetheart and Jeff and Hollywood really appreciate all the work we do for them around the office. Hollywood is the other gentlemen in the next picture. He's a bigger than life kinda guy and I have a such a great time working in this business.

Thursday was the big Red Carpet Event for Jake's Corner here in Scottsdale. I got all dressed up in a fancy dress! Besides the awkward tan lines, I looked alright. And I wore mom's earrings...thanks mom! It was a great event. Lots of press, lots of people, lots of smiles....It's a great joy to see a creative project come together so perfectly.

David Della Rocco is an actor from the movie, and happens to be in one of my all time favorite cult classics "The Boondock Saints." Great guy, very funny, and Jazz, Crissy and I had a so much fun at the afterparty on Thursday night.
Below is the who gang. Richard Tyson, actor and star of the film, Renee (Hollywoods wife) and me hiding in the back, then Hollywood, Jeff Santo, Jazz and our other producer Tim Comstock.

Hopefully, I'll recieve more pictures. I was so busy and too excited to shoot anything myself, so I'll post more later. Hope everyone is well! I'm missing you all. I'm jealous mom and Jenna get to have mom and daughter time and not me :(

Love you all!

Home Again!

Thanks so much to Sara and Jere sharing about the Staycation. We should have thought twice about the CANDISC Bike ride. OH MY! We were not prepared for the 300 miles of hills and NO TOWNS in between. I think camping might have been fun, if we had not ridden 75 miles a day, against the wind. Trying not to be critical, but it was tough. Patty Roberts, my college roommate, from Wichita, came and joined us. We did have some good laughs. We had to use the Porta Poties, yuck. They also had 4 shower units on a trailer, called the North Dakota Water Shed, with the Shed we did have hot water, but with 500 people, long lines!!! I have to think about going next year. My Bike did great, I do love my NEW RUBY! Grandma was the most popular person in Mohall. She had visitors everyday and did meals on wheels from the Nursing Home. North Dakota has alot of Programs available to elderly people living by themselves or with family. So we are using them as much as we can. Congrats to Jube on her new job! And Jen is going back to school tomorrow, also working at the Print Shop on Campus. Josh and Angie and girls are looking good on the WebCAm, love to talk to the little ones. Miss them and you all! Love Mema

Staycation

Hello everyone! Just a few tidbits for you on this lovely Wednesday afternoon.

This past weekend we spent some quality time w/ my entire family, with the exception of brother in law Darrell and nephew Adam. They had state baseball in Rapid City, SD so weren't able to make it. None of us took many pictures, which is really rare and kind of disappointing. We did a little shopping, and Eddie took the kids to the zoo. We found a really nice park for walking/running, so Jere got up early both days and had a nice long run. Later, we took the dogs (Tuffy, Bandit, and my sister's 180 pound Great Dane) to the dog park. It was fun and we attracted all sorts of attention...especially Toby.

So...I'm off work this week. I had vacation to burn and nowhere to go so I'm just hanging out at home. It's been great. I've been sleeping late, getting lots of exercise, and just enjoying not being at work! Today Shelby, Sheridan and I went to McNish park for a little disc golf...our new passion. Shelby took pictures rather than played. Jeremiah and Sheridan have been getting up early to golf before J goes to work, and after his run. He's pretty beat by the end of the evening but feels good about being back on a schedule with running. I am headed to KC this weekend to visit my girlfriend, Missy. Her birthday is this month also, so we are celebrating by going to Jack Johnson. Very excited! Thanks for all the birthday wishes...40 keeps staring me in the face but what can ya do, right? I'm feeling good and that's all you can ask for. Love to all, Sara

MOVIE BUSINESS JOB!

Hey everyone! I got a job! I'm working as an assistant to the Director of a movie shot and produced here in Arizona. The director Jeff Santo has been working in film for many years and has produced and shot films like "This Old Cub" about Chicago Cub's player Ron Santo who is Jeff's father. Anywho, I'm working as his assistant for the next five weeks to help him with the film's release and premiers. I'm so excited. This is a great opportunity to meet some great people in the film industry and to learn a ton about it. And I get to meet the actors including David Della Rocco who played "Rocco" from the Boondock Saints which happens to be one of my all time favorite movies!!!! And Danny Trejo...from Con Air, Anchorman, and Grindhouse....And Richard Tyson from Black Hawk Down, Kindergarten Cop and There’s Something about Mary.....Crap I'm so excited! The name of the movie is "Jake's Corner"...check out the trailer below.

Glad to see everyone is doing well! Yeah for Roo and her first steps!!!!....Josh you took some fabulous pictures of the girls...Anni is a riot...I laughed so hard! I'll be sending the pics as soon as I can. My computer CRASHED and I lost all my files (pics, documents, music), but I'm getting the Geek Squad to extract my files and hopefully save my computer....fingers crossed. Great to hear from Sara and Jer too!

Thank you all who kept me in their prayers! Love you and miss you all!

Wow!! Thanks to Everyone!!

Paige Family: We so enjoy all the information from all. Thanks to Sara for writing from the Fairbury Household. We enjoyed those sights you posted. Jen's project looked awesome, too cool. So HAPPY for McKenzies' first steps. We have viewed the video of the little girls many times and laugh everytime we see and hear of Annie's POO and PEE episodes. Kenzies' laughter is a joy to our hearts. Thanks so much for sharing those special times with us. Wish we were going to be their for McKenzie's Baptism and Birthday. XXX and OOO's to the little girls from Mema and Popo. We all are ok here, Grams is slow but keeps on going. Dad and I finished the DECK. We love it , will post pictures of it shortly. We have such beautiful evenings on the EAST side of the house and we have a little fire pit for the night time. Dad did a great job and I helped a little. Have planted trees and a few bushes around the deck, will do more next year. The growing season is short here. I went to the State Fair in Minot yesterday, what fun we had, in the evening four of my friends went out for Thai Food and went to see "Kiss Me, Kate" on stage , in an outdoor theatre, made in the side of a hill. We had great seats and the play was out standing for a community theatre. We got home at 12:30 AM, long day. We are preparing for the Bike Ride. Leaving next week, Patty Roberts is coming from Wichita to go with us. It will make for good Memories!! Love to all Mom

Summer Fun?

Hello all! Greetings from Fairbury and the Paige/Hutchison household. Things are chugging along here. We've never had this much rain this late in the summer, so our grass is really green and our basement is damp. Lots of mowing but our flowers look great!

The kids have had their own versions of a busy summer.

Sheridan has been helping Jeremiah a little bit with projects, when Jeremiah can tear him away from his multiple activities such as swimming, golfing, bowling, baseball, Boy Scouts, video-gaming and just normal 14-year old boy activities. Sheridan spent last week at Baptist Church Camp at Camp Moses Merrill near David City. He had a really good time and met some new friends there, and is hopeful that he might be able to get in next year as a Jr. Counselor for the younger campers. He has his '08-'09 class schedule and is ready to get back into school. He is considering running with the Cross Country team this year (freshman).

Shelby is at the same camp this week and I'm sure she's having a great time, she was sooooo ready for a vacation. Her summer has been busier than normal because she has a JOB! Yes! She's out in the sun working for the maintenance crew at the country club. She hasn't quite figured out the money/budget thing, she's spending it nearly as fast as she's making it. She wants a dress for homecoming and she's not sure if she can afford it. Her mean mom might be able to help her out with some of the expense, but we're keeping that a secret for now. Key word= LEVERAGE. She is considering Golf Team this year (Junior).

I'm still writing occasionally for the SoundOffFairbury.com site, my blog called "Unblocked" apparently has some fans. Keith, the owner of the site, has expanded his site and is adding a nice mix of video features of local people and businesses. Shelby and I created "Busy Mom's Kitchen" on the spur of the moment, which is on YouTube.com. Shelby is pretty proud of that. He also did a short PSA type video segment for my yoga class, I've had some new students because of it. I'd really like to find a more private location for my class, but for now we are still at the Wellness Center. They've paid for my 1st level of training and they tell me they are going to reimburse me for my 2nd level before August. I have Level 3 in November and there will be quite a bit of preparation for that one so I need to get busy with that material. OOOOMMMMMMMMM.

I enjoyed my 20 Year Class Reunion. My friends and I put a lot of time into the preparation and it was very well received. We are all keeping in touch via Facebook and that has been a great tool for us, even though some were skeptical. Once people figure out it's not just for college students anymore, they kind of warm up to the idea.

Jeremiah, as you know, had a battle with poison-something. He's feeling much better now but had kind of a miserable week last week. I imagine he will be working like crazy this week/weekend to make up for missed time. He's got our yard looking really nice after adding some artistic finishing touches to the deck and bordering some of the existing landscaping with landscaping stones. He also built a nice fountain which I love. Maybe he'll post another blog soon...

Including some random pictures.
Crystal Springs wildlife, Sara's nice bass, Shelby, my friend Suz and I playing Rock Band, and another unique shot of Shelby.

Take care and love to all.

First Steps For Roodini!!!

Kenziroo took her first steps on Sunday night. She stood up and just took off and then fell down. As Annika would say, "Kenzie is growing too faster Dad." Happy day for Kenzie, she is our rough and tough, and Annika is our soft hearted. Here is a few pics, hopefully I will get some video of the Roo walking soon. Were goin to the lake this weekend, they are letting a lot of water in at the Inlet, they are hauling off catfish by the truck load the water is boiling and the fish biting crazy on shad. The only bad thing is that it's wall to wall people. We'll see how it is this weekend. More later.
